Remember...

If I were thinking, I would have put this up a week ago when I wrote it. Better late than never, right?

Sept. 11, 2010
Truely a sad day in history. I remember where I was when I heard the news. I remember the look on our faces and the hollow feeling in my gut. How quiet it was the rest of the day at work. How we watched the news that evening in silent horror and amazement. Then, something I don't ever remember seeing before that day. We became a nation of one. The girls lit candles and stood by the road. People honked and waved. You couldn't look anywhere without seeing Our Flag waving. You could look a stranger in the eye and he'd give a smile and a nod of acknowledgement as if to say,"We're in this together". This became our wake up call to get our act together. Without a doubt, 9/11 was our worst day since Pearl Harbor, but, 9/12 was our best. Remember that day. Remember the ones we lost. Remember their families. Remember the ones that gave their lives to prevent more from being taken. Remember we are one nation, under God, indivisible.
